Elizabeth has always had a passion and strong dedication to teaching. She believes in a thoughtful mentoring of every student that encourages growth in horn playing and personal growth. Beginning with a core of fundamentals and instilling the concept of consistency and above all air and musicality as the path for success, every student is different and her teaching philosophy is tailored individually. Her primary teachers and mentors have included, Andrew Bain, David Krehbiel, William Purvis, Roland Pandolfi, and Melanie Cottle.
She teaches 30-60 minute lessons online or in person at her home studio in Portland, Oregon. She was most recently on faculty at the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts in downtown Los Angeles for 8 years.
